Welcome from our Headteacher, Lee Moscato.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to King Charles School. I hope that through visiting our website, you will see exactly what makes our school so special and why we were recognised as excellent’ in our Church (SIAMS) inspection in February 2020.

Due to the current situation, we obviously can’t welcome people into our school for tours as we would normally but hope that this video tour will help to give you a feel for what makes our school so special.  As soon as we can, we would welcome visits to our school; in the meantime do get in touch and we can arrange a chat and send our prospectus to you.

Being a Church School, Christian values are at the heart of all that we do and they support us in our aim to prepare our pupils for life. We pride ourselves on our caring, nurturing, exciting and enabling environment in which every child can thrive, feel safe and achieve; where everyone will shine.  At King Charles, relationships are key to ensuring that we provide the best possible experience that a primary school can offer. We place great emphasis on building positive relationships with everyone in our school community: parents, pupils, staff and the wider community.

Through exploring our website, you will see that our core values of Friendship, Creativity, Aspiration,Teamwork and Achievement are the cornerstones of all that we do. We are passionate that our values serve everyone in our school family, not just the pupils in our school. Friendship is evident in the way in which all members of our school community build positive and respectful relationships. Creativity is thread throughout our curriculum and also reflects our creative practice here at King Charles. Our Ex-Days are a perfect example of this.

Aspiration flows through every level of our school whether that be pupils or staff: We set aspirational targets and support everyone in reaching their goals. Teamwork is everywhere at King Charles. Our staff teams, our partnership with Falmouth MAT partner schools and our pupils’ ability to work alongside each other. Achievement is central to the purpose of King Charles. Committed staff, partnership with parents and pupils’ desire to achieve, enable our pupils to thrive.

Our door is open to everyone. If you would like to learn more about our school please do make contact.

Vision & Values

KingCharles (65 of 256)

Our school vision starts with our values, from which all else flows – Friendship, Creativity, Aspiration, Achievement and Teamwork – creating an environment where everyone can shine.

At King Charles we believe that all children learn best when they feel secure, happy and fully engaged in the life of the school. We pride ourselves on looking after our children exceptionally well and providing a stimulating and vibrant curriculum through which every individual child can thrive and shine. Therefore we place great emphasis on developing strong relationships with all our children, parents and the wider community to provide the best possible experience that a primary school can offer, and as a Church school our 5 cornerstone values are embedded in a strong Christian foundation.

We have a whole school plan that links and harnesses our school, Christian, British and Moral values as well as our school rules and our focus on well-being and mindfulness.  The plan can be found by  clicking here.

King Charles School is part of Kernow Learning which sees us work as a partnership of 20 schools from across Cornwall.  To find out more about Kernow Learning, click the link below to learn about how we collaborate, share, learn from and support each other for the benefit of all…
