King Charles PTA
The King Charles School Parent Teacher Association has been an integral part of the school community for many years. We work with parents, pupils and staff to promote, support and enhance the education of all pupils at our school.
We do this by raising funds that can be used to provide facilities, experiences or equipment for our children which enhance their learning. A key part of our role is also to promote and maintain positive relationships with all members of the school community.
All parents, carers and staff at King Charles School are automatically members of the PTA.
The KCSPTA is a completely separate organisation to the school. We are a registered charity with our own separate bank account and Trustee Committee. The Trustees meeting once each term and we hold an Annual General Meeting every year which is open to all our members. At the AGM the Trustees for the coming year are elected by you, our members, and we give a report on our finances and activities for the previous year.
In 2016/17 the Trustees are Kevin Osborne (Chair), Fran Keene (Secretary), Sam Quant (Treasurer), Jo Fleming, Martha Dixon, Claire Fortey, Hannah Stevens and Deborah Byrom.
Anyone who is a member can get more involved through serving on the Trustee Committee, helping out at an event, donating prizes, contributing to cake bakes or coming up with ideas for fundraising and how to spend the money we raise. We welcome all contributions, big or small.
We also hold Organising Meetings at the beginning of each half term.
The PTA donates the money it raises to the school for specific activities. The school must tell the PTA what it needs the money for and how it will benefit the pupils. The Trustees have ultimate responsibility for deciding what we fund.
We want to be transparent about all our work, so below you can find links to our meeting minutes, policies, newsletters, and annual accounts.
If you would like to talk to us, then please email email@example.com or talk to any of the Trustees in the school playground at pick up.
